I love design. I love fall. I love cool weather. This baby shower took place in early November and I thought it would be fun to incorporate some touches that come with the fall season. We were going to served soup, salad and crusty bread to go with the cool crisp fall air, until we found out it was going to be 85 degrees. So we switched to sandwiches and salad! That's Southern California for you!. Grey and purple became the color scheme and I was excited when we found grey pumpkins. They looked beautiful with the pops of purple flowers. I got to design the flowers for this event and I always enjoy putting flowers together on a small scale event. I loved the tones of the fresh kale and how they paired nicely with the water color elements of the shower. I hand painted the backdrop using liquid watercolor and then attached a big green garland to it. Fresh greens bring so much life to design. I love incorporating them.
Fiesta for Five
Man, time flies when your having fun! I just celebrated my daughter Maddie's 6th birthday. We kept it low key this year with a trip to Raging Waters and a fun BBQ with the family. It made me think about her 5th birthday....I never posted pictures from her cute Fiesta for Five! So here are a few snapshots from that day...
Leanna and Joe-Surf and Sand Laguna Beach
Leanna and Joe were married at the Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach. When I met Leanna, I knew this wedding was going to be fun to design! She wanted to go with a black and white color palette and I presented her with the idea to do a bold black and white stripped linen. We paired it with white seasonal flowers and a pop of green and included touches of gold. I think the result was pretty spectacular! I will miss the fun conversations I had with Leanna and her mom! They were so much fun to work with! Congrats Leanna and Joe!

Nikki and Steve- Rancho Dos Pueblos Barn
Nikki and Steve came all the way from Atlanta, Georgia to get married! They loved Santa Barbara and couldn't imagine getting married any where else. We spent many nites on Skype planning all the amazing details of this wedding. Here are a few words from Nikki "Our wedding was a perfect marriage of California chic and vintage whimsy. I loved the idea of getting married near the ocean, particularly on a cliff over looking the ocean. Steve loved the vintage feel of ranches and the warmth of a family-style dinner in a beautiful barn. After searching the hills and valleys of Santa Barbara, we settled on a perfect venue – Dos Pueblos Ranch.
Dos Pueblos is perfect in every way. The venue has a private beach, a vintage barn and an oak grove. It is truly unique and one of my favorite places to plan weddings! Enjoy the gorgeous images below from Figlewicz Photography! Thanks for capturing the day perfectly!
Apple of My Eye Baby Shower
This shower I designed and coordinated a few years ago and has been receiving some buzz on the internet so I thought I would share it on my new Blog! This shower is one of my favorite events I have planned and has also been featured in a magazine. It took place at the beautiful, yet rustic M Cafe at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California. One of the special parts of this shower was the Father to be planning it for his wife. It was really sweet and he wanted it to be perfect for her!

Miles Apollo Tomorrowland First Birthday
I had the honor of planning a the first birthday for little Miles Apollo this past weekend! I have planned the 1st birthdays for each of the Atienza's 3 children. Each Party has been Disney Themed! Ice Scream You Scream We All Scream for Ice Cream
WOW is all I could say when I received these pictures from the photographer Tanya that captured baby Olivia's birthday party. This party took place at the art studio Location1980 in Costa Mesa, California. I loved this space because it was a blank slate which allowed me freedom to create a hip and cool spin on an ice cream party. I used spray paint to stencil huge ice cream cones on large graphic pink banners which were suspended from the ceiling. The color palette consisted of black, white, and pink, with touches of mint and gold. Olivia's dad wanted to give all the kids the balloon pets which were scattered through out the room. It was really cute to see the kids put the animals on the chairs at there tables. I created a photo back drop out of white card board to create a space for photo ops. Baby Olivia was born on the Spring Equinox and her dad insisted that we have a touch of spring at the party so I used organic flower shapes as inspiration for the photo backdrop. Jake and Lauren - La Quinta Country Club
Jake and Lauren had a picture perfect wedding this past fall in La Quinta, California. The desert is quickly gaining popularity as a destination for winter weddings. I absolutely love the LA Quinta Country Club for a wedding venue. There staff is wonderful to work with, there food is perfection, and there venue space is gorgeous. Speaking of gorgeous, Lauren look absolutely stunning. From her dress to her makeup, her look was stunning. Full Spectrum Photography didn't miss a detail and there photographs sparkle with the happiness of the day.
